One of the most talked about facets in the Life Safety Industry today is that of the installation process for BDA / ERCES systems. Today’s BDA requirements can be directly traced back to the 9/11 Commission report, where it was determined that the FDNY’s radio system was not well suited for communications within high-rise structures.
How appropriate that on the very day we honor the lives lost on and because of the Terror attack on 9/11, the Integration Association of Florida will host a town hall meeting with many of South Florida’s leading Fire Departments to talk about this very issue. In this event, we will have representatives from the Radio Departments for City of Miami Fire Rescue, Miami-Dade County Fire Rescue, City of Coral Gables Fire Department and the Key Biscayne Fire Rescue Department discuss each department’s specific approach to the implementation of BDA / ERCES Systems in their jurisdictions. Topics will cover, pre permitting preparation & testing, installation and commissioning expectations, as well as ongoing inspections and re-certifications. The Session will conclude with a very generous time for Questions / Answers from the audience. If you or your company is in the BDA business, you don’t want to miss this event!
We hope you can make it!
