Lead Technician / Technician 1 & 2

We work on high-end residential projects full home automation ecosystems that include intelligent lighting, motorized shading, multi-room audio and video, networking infrastructure, and whole-home control. THE OPPORTUNITY
We're looking for an experienced technician who's ready to lead on the job site. You'll run multi-person crews, keep projects moving, and be the go-to person when decisions need to be made. You'll work closely with our Project Managers and Installation Manager to get jobs done right the first time.
You won't be configuring systems or building racks from scratch we have specialists for that. What we need is someone who can lead people, execute installations with quality, and handle whatever the job site throws at them.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Lead the Crew
• Run and mentor multi-person installation crews on active job sites
• Be the main point of contact on site for the PM, GC, electricians, and other trades
• Communicate proactively the team should never have to guess where a job stands
• Set the standard: professional, clean, and done right
Execute Installations
• Pull, route, and terminate low-voltage cabling (CAT6, speaker wire, control wiring)
• Work with existing rack builds and equipment enclosures to make on-site adjustments, dress cabling, and keep things clean and labeled
• Install Lutron lighting keypads, shades, and hardware; calibrate shade limits and test operation
• Mount and connect AV equipment TVs, speakers, amplifiers, and related components
• Install network hardware including switches and access points per project plans
• Install security cameras and run conduit/smurf tube as required
• Use test equipment (multimeter, tone/probe, cable certifier) to verify and troubleshoot
Keep Things Organized
• Communicate staging requirements to the warehouse ahead of each job
• Manage your assigned assets: company van, tools, iPad, and job materials
• Keep a clean and safe job site throughout every project
• Submit daily reports, site photos, and closeout documentation non-negotiable
• Initiate RMAs for damaged or DOA equipment with proper photos and case numbers

WHO YOU ARE
• You notice when something looks off and fix it without being asked
• You communicate clearly and often — no one should ever have to guess the job status
• When something unexpected comes up on site (and it always does), you problem-solve and keep moving
• You can run a full day without needing someone looking over your shoulder
• You're comfortable talking to clients, building managers, and other trades professionally
• You lift the people around you junior techs should get better working alongside you

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Must-Haves
• 3+ years installing and wiring low-voltage and home automation systems
• Experience leading or running crews on active installations
• Comfortable working from low-voltage diagrams, schematics, and floor plans
• Proficient with hand/power tools, multimeter, cable certifier, and tone/probe
• Solid written and verbal communication (daily reports are expected)
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Able to pass a background check and drug test
• High School diploma or GED
Great to Have
• Savant home automation experience
• Lutron lighting and shade systems (RadioRA, Homeworks QSX, Palladiom)
• Basic networking — IP addressing, managed switches, wireless access points
• CompTIA Network+ or similar IT certification
• CAT6 structured wiring and certification experience
• Comfortable with soldering
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a real plus in the Miami market
